COFCO Annual Managers Meeting 2008 opened in Beijing on May 6. The main theme this year is “Organic Development--Strengthen Business Core Capability; Innovative Thinking--Formulate Sustainable Model”.
The meeting commenced with Chairman Frank Ning’s remarks--“History convinces us into thinking”. Chairman Ning reviewed the efforts COFCO has devoted in management, structure and layout building as well as the change brought to business in the past three years. By reiterating COFCO’s business logic, he asked all the managers to formulate genuine sustainable core competitiveness and to be leader of each industry COFCO has entered through team improvement and organic development.
President Patrick Yu delivered the annual report of “Retrospection & Learning with Passion—COFCO Performance Review 2007”.
The meeting is an effective means for the group to look back and forward. It is also another milestone for COFCO’s development.
