US “Fortune” magazine announced its latest list of the world’s top 500 companies July 12. COFCO, with sales revenue of US$14.189 billion, was once again on the list, ranking 434.
China, including the Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, was represented on the list by 18 companies. Highest on the list from this group was Sinopec at 31. New on this year’s list were China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd and China FAW Group Corporation.
