COFCO Corporation and China Resource Vanguard Co., Ltd. jointly organized the China Day under the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) in Beijing on July 19, 2012, which is the first that such an event was held in China. The theme was to promote food safety in China and cultivate global food safety culture. Echo and support were from international organizations, government departments, academies, universities and companies. Keynote speeches were given, case analysis was shared, and deeper exploration was made.
COFCO Corporation takes on the social responsibility of food safety as basic one, developing the integrated business model, making sure of quality control from farmland to dining table, and offering nutritious healthy safe food. We have also been following the GFSI to improve standards and management.
