Mengniu Dairy was awarded the top prize for the best corporate governance by The Asset Magazine issued on December 11, 2013. It performed very well in promoting modernization of China’s dairy industry.
Since Ms. Yiping Sun took over Mengniu Dairy in 2012, the company had made great moves in corporate governance by enhance control over critical links especially milk source. It had also improved the management system and cooperated with strategic partners.
From farmland to dining table, Mengniu Dairy made good efforts in control over the whole process and value chain by means of the upgraded management system. The monitoring system was responsible directly for the boss with no connection with the production department. The milk source system was being improved in the scale of ranches. The logistics system provided guarantee in the whole process.
In 2013, Mengniu Dairy cooperated with Danone, Yashili, Modern Dairy, Arla Foods and AsureQuality in milk source, milk powder and yogurt.
