The joint venture built by China Mengniu Dairy Company Limited and the Hong Kong subsidiary of White Wave Foods Company bought out the subsidiary of Yashili International Holdings Ltd. in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, as Yashili and Mengniu Dairy announced jointly on January 6, in which Mengniu Dairy has the 51% stake and White Wave has the rest.
The Zhengzhou company manufactures, packages and sells nutritional products. This deal is expected to help Mengniu Dairy concentrate on liquid milk products and Yashili on milk powder products.
