COFCO and Martek held a news conference in Beijing on May 5, 2010, promoting for Fortune DHA Grain Blended Cooking Oil.
The oil is good for the brain, the first of its kind to have such function, leading the industry to the high tech direction.
David Abramson, Martek CEO, said, Martek held an optimistic view on COFCO Fortune cooking oils. COFCO was their best partner because COFCO grew fully integrated and had the good sense of social responsibility making sure of food safety. Martek hoped to invest USD 5 billion in cooperating with COFCO in applying the DHA technology to serving consumers.
DHA is good for the brain, but we usually cannot absorb enough from ordinary foods.
