The Fortune Magazine issued the World 500 Enterprise List for 2011 on July 7. COFCO ranked the 366th.
There were a total of 69 Chinese companies on the list, consisting of ones from mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, 15 more than last year, surpassing Japan and following US which had 133 companies in the list. COFCO is the only grain, oil and food company of China in the list.
The first three were still the same, i.e., Wal-Mart, Shell and Exxon Mobil.
