The “Most Beautiful Sites in China” compiled by the expert panel of “China National Geographic Magazine” was announced in Beijing October 23, 2005. The Yalong Bay National Traveling Resort in Sanya Hainan, developed through investment from COFCO Yalong Bay Company, like a star falling out of the sky appeared at the top of the list of the “Eight Most Beautiful Seacoasts of China.”
Other sites making the list included Yehliu (Keelung, Taiwan), Chengshantou (Rongcheng, Shandong), Dongzhaigang Red Tree Forest (Qiongshan, Hainan), Changli Gold Coast (Hebei), Victoria Bay (Hong Kong), Chongwu Coast (Hui’an, Fujian) and the Dapeng Peninsula Beach (Shenzhen, Guangdong).
This “Most Beautiful Sites in China” included nearly every type of scenic area in the country. Prizes were awarded by the “expert panel,” “media and general public panel” and “internet and cell phone panel.”
