COFCO Corporation and China Development Bank signed the development financing cooperation agreement in Beijing on February 25, 2013.
According to the agreement, COFCO Corporation will get a total of RMB 30 billion for financing support in the next five years to drive growth of business and improve the value chain.
China Development Bank will attach importance to improving capacities in processing and logistics, making sure of supply and quality, and stabilizing important agri-products. The two parties will jointly develop the rural financial market and study new rural financial models for sustainable development by supplying capital, improving efficiency and helping farmers make more money.
