COFCO International announced today that all required regulatory approvals have been received, allowing COFCO International to acquire the remaining minority stake in Nidera Capital B.V. (“Nidera”), currently held by Cygne B.V. The acquisition brings COFCO International’s ownership in Nidera to 100%.
The shareholder transaction deal will be closed on February 28. From the closing date forward, COFCO International will have full ownership of two leading global agri-businesses. It is COFCO’s intention to pursue a full integration of COFCO Agri and Nidera into COFCO International in order to leverage the combined capabilities of COFCO Agri’s highly strategic asset base and Nidera’s strong origination and trading networks.
