COFCO Zhengzhou Scientific Research and Design Institute was awarded the first prize by the country for the project of “R&D, Integration and Innovation of New Technologies for Four-in-One Model in Grain Storage” (Certificate No.: 2010-J-211-1-01-D08) in which the institute played an important role. The prize is the highest of its kind achieved by the grain industry in the past ten years and also by COFCO at the state level.
The project consists of Four-in-One grain storage technologies, grain storage theory and practice, grain reserves logistics technologies and CO2-control grain storage technologies all of which are innovation in this field. This removed the bottleneck of modern grain storage technologies. The Four-in-One grain storage technologies integrate intelligent monitoring, low-dose recirculation fumigation, intelligent ventilation and efficient grain cooling.
In this project, COFCO Zhengzhou Scientific Research and Design Institute was responsible for integration and innovation of grain reserves logistics technologies. It made breakthroughs in grain drying technologies like concurrent flow and counter-flow drying, in grain depot logistics equipment technologies like entry into and delivery from warehouses, and in transportation, loading and unloading equipment and technologies like transportation, loading and unloading by bulk grain vehicle.
Based on this project, COFCO Zhengzhou Scientific Research and Design Institute achieved seven science and technology awards of the ministry and provincial level, and gained 11 patents. Three types of equipment were listed as the state key new products.
